Stay in one of our historical log houses to experience the old Latvian country side charm. The buildings are fit for all seasons and all weather conditions. No matter if you are travelling alone, with your family or in a larger group, you will find suitable accommodation at Gungas.
Godu Māja
The largest of our historical log houses, “Celebration House”, offers space for all kinds of events and seating for up to 60 people in the great hall. Additionally, you will find an equipped kitchen with bar area and restrooms.
The Celebration House is perfect to serve as your venue for hosting events, like weddings or anniversaries. The building originates from the region of Vidzeme, which translates from Latvian as “The Middle Land”. It comes from the surroundings of the small community of Rencēni, 132 km from Riga. The house was built around 1852 and used to be a living house connected with a barn.
On the ground floor you will find a celebration hall, in which up to
60 people can be hosted. Additionally, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom can be found on the ground floor. Furthermore, you can find two double rooms and two twin rooms with a shared bathroom on the second floor. On request, two extra beds can be added.
Laivu Māja
With a marvellous view onto the lake, large common room and fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor, the “Boat House” is ideal for family holidays, small events, as well as seminars.
The Boat house originates from the region of Vidzeme. It comes from the surroundings of the small community of Brenguļi, about 118 km from Riga, which is now notable for the beer that carries its name.
Laivu House was built around 1890 and it used to be two separate living houses, that have been combined into one at Gungas.
Pīlādži
Our “Rowan House” is the favourite among newly-weds. It is also suitable for romantic weekend-getaways and family holidays.
On the ground floor, you will find a luxury suite with cosy living room, integrated kitchenette, fireplace and a separate double bedroom with a spacious bathroom.
On the second floor, there is a twin room and a double room to accommodate four guests. Four extra beds can be added on request.
Eglītes
The “Spruce House” is suitable for holidays with family or friends.
On the ground floor you will find two ensuite rooms with living room and integrated kitchenette and separate bedroom.
On the first floor are two twin ensuite rooms and a separate kitchenette.
Extra beds can be added on request.
Kadiķi
The “Juniper House” is suitable for a holiday with family and friends, as well as for a small seminar or creative workshop.
On the ground floor you will find a small lounge with fireplace and a patio overlooking the lake. Additionally, on the ground floor there is a small kitchen area and a separate double bedroom.
Three additional beds can be added on the ground floor of the house on request. The second floor has two rooms that can accommodate six people.
