Activites at Gungas
Swimming
Enjoy the pleasant water temperatures of Lake Dūņezers during the warm Latvian summer days. Access the water from a pontoon or from the beach area.
Boating
Take one of our various boats or SUP boards and explore more than 270 ha of water body or explore the lake's island.
Fishing
Lake Dūņezers is not only suitable for swimming, but also provides a habitat for several different species of fish, including pike, tench and carp. As fishing by rod is not restricted in Latvia, you can spend relaxing time in Gungas, waiting for the big catch to take with you.
Sauna
Operational throughout the year, you can warm your bones in our traditional wooden sauna.
Sauna times can be booked subject to availability.
The rent of the whole territory includes the sauna.
Hot Tub
Alongside the picturesque view of Lake Dūņezers, unwind by popping open a bottle and relaxing in our wooden hot tub. Although our hot tub offers relaxation in every season, a soak in the warm during a snowy winter will be a unique experience.
Nature Trails
Several trails invite you for a walk through a wonderfully scented pine forest.
Latvia's landscape is ideal for biking tours in summer and cross-country skiing in winter.
Photo sessions
We offer to use “Gungas” as a wonderful background for photo sessions. The price is EUR 30 for one hour and EUR 20 for each subsequent hour.

Getting Around
Riga
Reach the Historic City Centre of Riga within a 50-minutes drive. Explore the protected UNESCO World Heritage Site, noted for architecture influenced by the Hanseatic League, as well as the finest collection of Art Nouveau buildings in Europe.
On the way to Riga, have a stop at the Latvian Ethnographic Open Air Museum and explore Latvian traditions and architecture throughout the last centuries.
Nature
Gain access to the endless sand beach of Vidzeme within a distance of 10 km. The beachside is stunning in all seasons.
Reach Gaujas National Park within a 50-minutes drive. You will find various trails to hike along picturesque river-bends, cliffs and caves.
History
The region of Vidzeme is rich in historic sites such as Turaida and Sigulda Castle, Cēsis Castle and the lake dwelling of Āraiši, a unique archaeological place in the Baltics. Reach all the above mentioned within an hour drive from Gungas.
